Cookie Policy
The complete list of cookies ImgVid actually sets — four functional and necessary cookies, and no advertising or tracking cookies

What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies ImgVid actually sets when you use imgvid.net, and why. ImgVid keeps this list short and only lists cookies that are genuinely in use.
ImgVid is operated by a company registered in England and Wales. UK rules on cookies come from the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), alongside the UK GDPR: cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for can be set without consent, and anything beyond that needs your consent first.
ImgVid sets four cookies in total. They exist only to keep you signed in and to remember choices you have made yourself. ImgVid sets no analytics, advertising, targeting, social-media, or affiliate-tracking cookies, and does not build a profile of you or share cookie data with anyone.
Cookies ImgVid currently sets
| Cookie | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
locale | Remembers your language preference. (ImgVid is currently English-only.) | Functional |
imgvid-auth-hint | A non-sensitive flag used only to prevent a visual flicker in the navigation bar while your real session loads. It is not a login credential and cannot be used to authenticate you. | Functional |
| Authentication session cookie | Keeps you signed in between page loads. Set by ImgVid's authentication system. | Strictly necessary |
| Sidebar state | Remembers whether your dashboard sidebar is expanded or collapsed. | Functional |
That is the complete list. ImgVid does not currently set analytics cookies, advertising or targeting cookies, social-media cookies, or affiliate-tracking cookies. ImgVid's public homepage does not make third-party network requests that would set such cookies.
Strictly necessary cookies
The authentication session cookie above is strictly necessary — without it, ImgVid cannot keep you signed in. This type of cookie cannot be turned off within the service, because doing so would prevent ImgVid from working.
Functional cookies
The locale, imgvid-auth-hint, and sidebar-state cookies improve your experience but aren't required for ImgVid to function at a basic level. You can block or delete these through your browser settings; doing so may cause minor inconveniences, such as ImgVid forgetting your sidebar preference.
Cookies ImgVid does not currently use
ImgVid has analytics functionality built into its code, but it is not currently active — no analytics tracking ID is configured, so no analytics cookies are set. If ImgVid enables analytics in the future, this policy will be updated first to describe what's collected and, where required, to ask for your consent before any such cookies are set. The same applies to any future advertising, social-media, or affiliate-tracking cookies: none are active today, and none will be added without updating this page.
Managing cookies
Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from staying signed in to ImgVid.
Questions and complaints
If you have a question about ImgVid's use of cookies, contact us. You can also complain to the UK's regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk. How ImgVid handles the personal data behind these cookies is covered in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
ImgVid may update this Cookie Policy as the cookies it actually uses change. Changes will be posted on this page, and continuing to use ImgVid after an update means you accept the revised policy.
